Fall for these Grants Pass Airbnbs

It’s a day away from the fall equinox 2021 here in beautiful Grants Pass, Oregon and autumn certainly is making its first whispers of arrival! Mornings are noticeably cooler and the leaves are turning shades of yellow and light red. The sun is not nearly as devastating as is it was in August and the smoky skies have dissipated leaving bright blue skies in their wake. It’s a glorious time for sure!

With fall and holiday travel season coming up in southern Oregon, guests will be coming to and through our city once again and will need accommodations. So, if you have guests coming into town and need to find a place for them to stay or if you’re traveling through our humble hamlet as a visitor, check out some of these local Airbnbs that have design features we love!

Downtown Grants Pass is a good place to start. This historic area is laid out on a walkable grid and boasts restaurants, coffee houses, cute boutiques, a half dozen antique shops, small town barber shops, natural groceries and studios for your yoga and massage needs.

This enchanting apartment hosted by Jody is located on 7th Street in the thick of it all. Its clean, eclectic style plays with modern features which we adore. We especially love how the design blends metallics to integrate the exposed ductwork into the kitchen aesthetic.

Mixing metallics helps camouflage the exposed ductwork.

Obviously re-routing the mechanics of the building would have been costly, so kudos to working the design around the fixed elements. If staying here, take a stroll a few blocks away to the re-opened historic Rogue Theater showcasing musical acts, comedians and even magicians if you’re lucky!

Not far away is this 1940’s era bungalow hosted by Mason and Shelby and is totally adorable! Not only is the kitchen to die for but the backyard fire pit is perfect for those cozy autumn evenings. BONUS - pets are allowed!

The mid-century credenza is a nod to the house’s original 1940’s era. The trendy coffee table design goes well with the mixed wall art that is popular now.

The last stay we are highlighting is this picturesque fall cabin hosted by Sarah that’s just minutes from the downtown area and nestled in the rolling hills going towards the epic Applegate Valley and Wine Trail.

We applaud Sarah’s use of color and pattern to establish a theme for her vacation spot starting with the red door and continuing throughout the space.

An inviting entry door opens the way to well-dressed living area complete with a classic wood-burning stove.

These extra design touches bring cohesion to the visual palette which help elevate the guest experience and create the feel of a memorable mountain retreat. BONUS - you’ll have your own hot tub!

If you are in Grants Pass this time of year and are heading towards Medford or Ashland, check out Del Rio Vineyards in Gold Hill which was named best Best Winery 2021 by Southern Oregon Magazine.  If dining in our fair city, check out the Twisted Cork which also won in their category for Best Grants Pass Restaurant.

We hope you now have some ideas of what to do and where to stay if traveling through southern Oregon and Grants Pass this fall and holiday season. If you’d like to see more design ideas we love, see our Instagram account for more info or our Portfolio page on our website. Happy fall!!
